Two months today.
The countdown is on…

Words cannot describe how excited I am to head back to Australia for vacation. Apart from being able to spend Christmas at home with my family (haven’t done this in over three years!) I’ve got some pretty awesome adventures planned…
-
- Mum and I have never taken a girls trip together, so we’re off to Bali for five days, neither of us have ever been to Indonesia!
- Fulfilling one of my life-long musts by booking in a trip to Sydney for New Years Eve to watch the fireworks.
- Booked in for the Sydney Harbor Bridge climb!!!
- Play tourist in Melbourne: take a walking photo tour of the city, ride Puffing Billy, go panning for gold at Sovereign Hill, check out the Phillip Island Penguin Parade, eat all the hawker food at the Wednesday Night Market at Queen Vic, the list goes on…
What am I looking forward to most about being home?
Squishing this fatty.
Getting my hair cut. I haven’t found a hairdresser here in Florida so I wait until I go
home to get it cut by my hairdresser who probably has the best Hair Cutting Scissors! It hasn’t been cut since I was home last in
April of 2013. It sits past my boobs! (I’m third from the left).
Real fish (flake aka gummy shark) and chips wrapped in paper , oh and potato cakes and dimsims!
KFC chips… They are basically the best seasoned fat chips in the world.
America wouldn’t understand, their KFC serves wedges -_-
A real BBQ sausage in bread with tomato sauce… not a hotdog frankfurt thrown on the grill -_-
A loaf of crunchy, fresh, vienna bread. Not bread that tastes like sugar!
Safeway chocolate mud cake, the best chocolate cake in the world!
A Four’N Twenty sausage roll with tomato sauce!
Chocolate that doesn’t taste like pure sugar. Hershey’s is THE WORST. Oh haiiii Cadbury ♥
Give me ALL the Tim Tams!
But most of all…
Spending Christmas with these guys ♥
Bear-hugging these two…
And catching up with friends I haven’t seen in yearsssss! As soon as I land I’ll buy a 100gb sim only plan from Circles Life Australia.
.
Can it be December already please?
.
Where will you be for Christmas?

Omg that picture of Cookie…I died! And… Pack me in your suitcase.

Hahaha, isn’t he the cutest squishy ever?! You know, you’d probably fit in it…
How exciting! I’m so thrilled for you that you are coming home for Christmas. Your family must be so happy. I’m with you on the things you miss, especially food. As much as there’s a lot of yummy food in America, sometimes they are too much (in sugar, additives etc). It won’t be long now, have an awesome time ..jealous of your NYE celebration! 🙂

Yessssss, I enjoy the food here, but there’s nothing like the food back home! I can’t wait to eat my way around Melbourne, I hear there’s a lot of awesome new eats open since I left 🙂
That’s so exciting you’ll be home for Christmas! I missed Christmas last year since I was in Brazil, but this year I’ll be spending it with my family! Which will be nice because come January, I’ll be off on another adventure!

Ah, wish I could be off on another adventure come January. Wonder where next year will take me. Same here, last year I was in Africa for Christmas, the year before I was here in Florida, and the year before that, I was vacationing here in Florida but wasn’t living here yet! Will be nice to be at home and have mum cook Christmas lunch!
Um, am I allowed to say that none of that food looks like something I’d want to go back to? You need to stay here in the land of Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa and Arepas 🙂

It might not look good, but it is delish, your kind of basic food too! Hahaha. Don’t worry, I’ll be back – you’re not getting rid of me that easily!
Good for you! I hope you have a great time. Bring back some of that chocolate will ya? LOL. I’ll probably be in South Florida enjoying some mahi mahi.
Oh I plan on bringing an entire suitcase of good chocolate and cookies back with me! I always bring it to work to share too 🙂
Can’t wait to have you back home 🙂 🙂 🙂 😀 😀 😀
Can’t waitttttt! But I know after a week I’ll already want to be back in the US hahaha 😛
