God knows what was running through my mind when I decided it would be a great idea to collect a key chain for every city I visit during my first overseas adventure back in 2006. It wasn’t until I arrived back home that I realised it just simply wasn’t feasible to attach all 18 key chains to my house and car keys. I failed miserably and now face the tough choice of deciding which key chain is ‘the chosen one‘ every time I get a new set of keys. Luckily I had some sense knocked into me before embarking on my next escapade that following year.
Shot glasses. Granted, I could find them, I would collect a shot glass for each and every city I visit around the world as a keep sake of my time there and when I get home, I would put them on display for everyone to see. Sounded easy enough, made sense, and it would be a neat little way to remember my travels.

Haha very cool… we collect shot glasses as well, don’t have quite the collection you do though! Don’t know how we’re going to go collecting them on our RTW trip though, might need to send them home every month!
The Miami and Alcatraz ones are very cool.
I used to mail them home every time I’d gather a small collection. I found that if I tried to pack too many in my luggage that one would usually end up broken which sucked. The Alcatraz one is probably one of my faves, but I really love the design on the Cleveland, Ohio Rock and Roll Hall of Fame one too!
